Yep, Sandy that was TFL your second pic shows a bit of black on top of the head it's some kind of sap or something TFL has picked up that hasn't washed off with the rain.

Sounds like our little ones are learning well. DC5 is taking advantage of any and all chances at food, even bites that are dropped, and both are getting to the "I'm a big boy/girl now and can feed myself" stage. Should get really interesting when they start feeding themselves.

So glad they both got fed well today. Thanks for capturing the feedings.

MrP on the nest but the munchkins aren't very interested, too full from earlier feeding. MrP did some nestorations and is looking around. Probably not sure why his eating machines aren't squealing.

Finally DC5 tried to show a little interest, but then decided it was just too hot and went back to the shade.

Mr. P at the nest keeping watch while DC 4 and DC 5 are sleeping.
Nice breeze so hopefully it is keeping our eaglets cool.

I finally registered for this forum but have been reading for some time. After reviewing screenshots from before DC4 rescue I truly think it was DC5 that was rescued. If you compare the hairlines DC4 went further back. Plus DC4 was the aggressive one. The eaglet that was rescued did not have a receding hairline. Any thoughts?

Welcome, Ahaynes we are so glad to have you post here. Byebye

We've been struggling with this too, because the AEF mods say DC5 is the one that is aggressive and has more black feathers, but both Sandy and I thought DC4 was the one with more black feathers and aggressive. And I noticed the same thing you did with the 'receding hairline'. We are all human (including the AEF mods) and it is easy to get confused on identification. I'm not sure we can find a definitive answer. But the important thing is both are healthy and doing well.
