BET, the triplets hatched in 2014 and the first egg wasn't laid until May 1st that year. They are definitely used to Calgary's wild weather patterns.

I think this is still Dad on the nest but hard to tell with that wild hairdo blowing in the wind. I wasn't here to watch since your last post JD so there may have been another shift change since then.

Dad left and the egg was left exposed.

No fear --- both arrived, mated and Dad left. Mom took over.

Back to today

Dad flew in and presented a nice "family" image before he encouraged Mom to give him the egg duty

2:31 Dad became alarmed and took off after ? He returned in about a minute. Stood over the egg rather than covering it. Took off again after about 30 seconds. Mom flew in a minute later and settled down on the egg.

Good morning Calgary and All

6:47 a.m.
The nest looks a whole lot drier this morning compared to yesterday but the temperature is still a wintery -2C.
Mom is on the nest at the moment partially surrounded by the bark that Dad keeps bringing home.

7:18 am
Dad arrived to take over. Can't know for sure where he came from but it was as if he dropped down from the camera area.
Mom wasted no time leaving once he landed.

I was helping a member with a forum problem and only caught a glimpse of action and of course I have no idea what actually transpired. I saw a flutter of wings and suddenly Dad left. ... It seemed that Mom stopped and then also left in a rush. Suddenly the egg was left alone. I have no clue if this all happened because of an intruder or what happened.

7:40 am
Mom came back and laid on the eggs. Dad arrived and basically pushed her off the egg and took over. She left him to it.

I will try this all over again --- the website went down just as I tried to post this the first time.

8:53 am

Dad brought a long stick and proceeded to run into Mom causing her to get off the egg.

..he left and she resumed incubating.

Well, it's 10:15 p.m. and I am finally able to access the forum. I have no idea if it's completely fixed since the problem seems to be sporadic hitting one person after another throughout the day.

Mom is on the nest looking very content so I can't imagine there will be much else happening tonight, so I will say goodnight for now.
