Hi Ernie
I checked my video recording for the times you posted and did not see any people walking or standing about looking. Several cyclists and that was it. If you go back again, see those 3 rocks on the river side of the nest - nest to two posts, one red and one yellow. Try to stand by the rocks and wave at the camera. Hopefully my recording will catch you

7:42 a.m.
Dad arrived with another branch which he soon placed on the river side of the nest.

8:15 a.m.
Dad and Mom have been standing watching the river for at least the past 20 minutes then as soon as I began reporting this they flew off in unison.

***OK! Next time I will try that. There are benches & a table right on the jut of land at the junction of the main river & nose creek. That's as far as we went. I took along binoculars but forgot my camera. Once there we were too close under the nest to get any worthwhile pictures anyway.

Good morning Ernie
9:10 a.m.
Dad has been bopping around the nest, stick to stick checking things out, and now has a white shoulder feather out of place.

5:30 pm
The cam clock was changed at 4:36 pm MDT to be accurate!
Mom O has been on the nest all afternoon, just standing about watching the world go by. She did leave briefly a couple of times.
Starting at 4:30p Dad began bringing in nesting material, sticks and grass on a 2 to 3 minute cycle.
At 4:34pm there was a brief interruption in his building efforts. An unseen intruder overhead had both O's looking up and circling their heads to follow it's path

When the alert ended, Dad resumed his nest building activities and Mom just stayed put - basically doing nothing.
5:07 pm He decided to mate Mom co-operated but did not seem to be enthusiastic about it.

Dad left and Mom has remained standing watching the world go by.
They may have arrived early, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Mom's fertility cycle is remaining the same. I did look back to last year, the first egg was laid April 25 which would indicate her fertility started somewhere around the 18th give or take a couple of days
