All quiet here - Mom has been preening - very vigorously, it seems! She has a look of total concentration.....

Mom was up to ps off the side of the nest, so a good close-up of the eggs...

She is seriously calling for Dad to come - and even after returning to the eggs and rolling and settling down, she continues to call.

An eagle just flew in way down here! How strange - this perch is well below Mom and Dad's perch, and I don't think it's even the same tree. It must be Dad, but why isn't he higher up on his usual perch??

Incredible as it seems, I think there could possibly be two adult eagles here...one of them Dad.

The cam has gone to night vision and I can only see one white head -so think now that there is likely only one eagle...Dad

Well - I signed off too soon and I am still on the NPTZ!

There was a huge kerfuffle - both eagles trilling very loudly. Dad was suddenly on the ICB? where he trilled very aggressivley - looking up in the tree and following something. We had an intruder, for sure - and I am now reconsidering whether or not there really were two eagles perched close together in my earlier post. [Dad and another adult]

Here's Dad on the ICB..

And Mom in the nest - she was up off the eggs and trilling

Both continued to trill and look around..

Mom left the eggs and flew to the BB and then off the nest. I checked the BSB and her perch by the river - not there. I think she may have gone higher in the nest tree.

8:38pm [10 min later] Mom returned to the nest. She had a long, quiet talk with Dad, who really needed a lot of persuading to get up off the eggs and let Mom take over. Eventually he did - and flew to the BB briefly before leaving the nest. I checked for him at Mom and Dad's perch - but it was too dark to see anything.
