Afternoon Doreen

11 am to 103 pm
Both adults were in the nest; Belle ate a fish I missed the delivery; a mating attempt by Dad twice, which failed Belle was not interested she nipped at Dad. Dad later exited the nest (1119 am) and Belle remains in the nest; seated, resting facing 3 o'clock and tracking her territory. I am recording will edit after she leaves. 1230 pm Belle remains seated tracking her territory quietly while resting in her nest. 1 pm - Belle has been on the nest at least 2 hours now. 103 pm Belle exits the nest. Was wonderful to see her spending time on her nest. I think she is missing her chicks ... or at least that is how it appears to us humans.

I am uploading a video.

I have paperwork to tackle today so i will come back later and post some captures and the video link.

hi Deb, I took a few scaps for our thread here as I was watching on-off also. she is so used to being on her nest taking care of and raising her chicks, she is just lost I think, very confused to her, she probably wonders so many things, not understanding why she has no babies this season. very heart breaking for this pair
