Thank you Spirit for being so unique. His version of tucking nest material around him is to fling it on his back

Hi folks!
Sadly, due to high water releases from Shasta Dam into the Sacramento River, the island that the Eagle's nest tree is on is flooded once again! That is what took out the Eaglecam a few months ago! That means that the electronic POE's that we just replaced are now submerged again & probably shorted out so we don't have a streaming image any longer. The timing couldn't be more awful with us on Hatch Watch right now!
This is extremely frustrating and something we certainly didn't anticipate happening again at this time of year in Redding! We have not seen this amount of rainfall here in many, many years!
We are troubleshooting it with Joe from HDontap and once the water recedes, we will need to go out to the Island to replace the POE to the Axis Camera to get the cam working again. We are also going to attempt to move the POE to a higher spot depending on how much wiring we have available to avoid this from happening again!
We will keep you updated on our progress!
In the meantime, we will keep you updated on our eagles from the ground! There is not a hatch as of 12:30pm this morning, but I did catch a switch with Liberty coming in and Spirit out!
Fly LIke An Eagle!
