Afternoon Channel Islands wave

Good News and Bad News ... regarding the West End cam

Unfortunately for the first time in 20+ years we will not have a live cam on the West End nest ...
the solar panels and some of the equipment is missing after a huge storm.

This is the one of the very first nest's that i started to watch in 2006!
Going to be sad not to watch Superman and his lady!

The good news is there is a wide angle view on the area so we can see the birds on the peaks ... likely see fledges ect Left thumb up

Here is Dr. Sharpe's Catalina and Santa Cruz Islands video update Clapping

240 pm
There is an adult on the peak at West End.

The Two Harbors cam is playing highlights with
K82 perched below the nest on a snag.

The Bald Canyon, Big Bear and Sauces nests are both MT.
The Anacapa Falcon cam is also MT

Here is the link to the all cams page where you can select the cam you want to watch!

The Peregrine Falcon nest cam from Anacapa Island became available yesterday.
Egg laying is usually mid-March to mid-April in this territory.

Congrats to Momma Sauces she has just laid her first egg in the second clutch of the 2017 Nesting Season.

She appeared to step on the egg shortly after she laid it but so far it looks intact fingers crossed
