9:52am One of the eagles lands up on the perch branch.

9:54am One on the perch and one on the nest.

19:54am to 10:09am Both work around the nest. Both were breaking twigs off the branches. They moved from one area to another to "de-twig" the sticks.







10:09am Dad goes up to the perch above the nest.

December 20, 2016

Nice warm up in the area. 48 degrees at 6 am and 50's in the afternoon.

10:00am One of our eagles eating on the nest. The magpies are keeping the eagle company.
10:04am Eagle goes up above to the perch.
10:15am The eagle continues to perch up above the nest.

I did not find the eagles at the nest when I checked other times through the day.

9:17am Hear eagle vocals.

10:48am Both on the nest.


2:22pm Eagle on the nest at the top left. Moves sticks around from top to right side.


2:59pm Off the nest.

4:09pm Eagle on the nest. Is busy moving sticks from one spot to another.
4:13pm Stands on the fence on left side of the nest.
4:15pm Begins moving sticks again
.4:21pm Both on the nest now.
4:22pm Incoming eagle leaves. The other works at the top left.
4:27pm Empty nest.

I have not seen the eagles this morning as of 11:15am. Between 8:30am and 8:49am I could hear gunshots. This is normal around the nest since it is out in the country. It does not happen often.

I did not see the eagles today.

11:24am I can hear vocals near the nest. Then the eagle landed up above. I could see the shadow.

2:40pm Both on the nest with food. THey are vocalizing loud and clear to some intruder.
3:40pm One of the eagles is eating a prairie dog at top of the nest.
3:53pm Loud vocals again. Then back to eating.
4:08pm Both on the nest.
4:12pm vocals again and mom is off the nest.
4:21pm He moves to the top of the nest and is off.

I have checked in several times and no eagles. It is a beautiful sunny blue sky day.
