Hi Bev. I have not been seeing too much of this pair lately. Seems they are coming for short visits. They have also come to eat on the nest.

4:27pm Both on the nest. Dad is mantling food.


Mom has gone up above on the perch. There is quiet chatter off and on and the eagle begins to eat.

There is chatter and I missed part of this because the cam is still not streaming smoothly. The mom came off the perch and after dad and what he was eating. They circled the nest and landed. Mom snatched the food and had dinner. I was watching what was happening and took no snaps but here is mom eating the prairie dog.

9:14am Can see the shadow of an eagle up on the perch over the left side of nest.

I did not see the eagles all day. I have not been able to watch as much the last week as I have company, but I have not seen reference to visits on the facebook page either.

so far today I am not seeing or hearing the eagles. It is a beautiful day today. It may even reach 80 degrees. BUT tomorrow we will have a BIG change and it could even snow. Stay tuned.



We did get an update on the camera from Raptor Resource Project.

We installed a new HD camera with the help of our Xcel partners. The camera is an IR vision bullet camera with variable zoom and microphone. It should provide improved video quality of the eagles and audio than what
we have had in the past. The system is very high-tech with solar panel power and radios that transmit video and audio back to the Xcel facility.
