Nest Observations
Wskrsnwngs:
6:00 I am at the nest. There is one adult perched in the outer attic.
6:30 No vocals yet.
7:09 Adult flies SE and out of sight.
8:05 adult in with stick. Think M.
8:18 it is H, not M. She just vocalized.
8:58 Harriet is tracking west. To nest edge. 9:00 H Flies toward west pasture, back and forth by tree line and down behind, out of sight.
8:25-8:35 one eagle flies in to west pasture tree then over to pasture pond. Evidently was Flushed from the pond area by eager photographer and flew low from pond over to church tree.
8:42 looks like Harriet. Wings out, breeze drying her feathers out.
9:55 it is Harriet. She is preening with her wings only partially out now. I am headed home.
10:37 looks like someone is in the attic
10:38 both to the nest - one in with a stick I believe

H on left
10.42 M fly off to right
10:43 M back with moss
10:47 Both spread the material about the nest some,
M watchful, tracking something. M goes to the attic
10.49 M leaves the attic
11.04 M with a big stick, both work on placement

11.04 H leaves the nest
lol it is fun to watch them place those sticks
11.06 M goes to the porch, H returns to the nest
M to the attic branch
she will move that stick
lol she is SO funny, okay over here,no over there, ah maybe just right now. no over here............

must be a hard one to place. i can see lots of spots it would fit into
she is slowly breaking pieces off of it
I have no doubt it will end up just right for her at some point, enjoying the chuckles though
maybe she finally placed it
um maybe not LOL
looked like she just tried jumping on it to break it
She may be content with the new location of that stick now. Maybe.
M remains on the attic branch and H on the nest still at 11.28.
SWFEC Team for all your observations!!
