Thanks so much for the work you are doing, Hamid! I know this camera doesn't get a ton of viewers right now, but I enjoy watching it.Bravo

6:30 p.m.: A pair of larger fish were swimming past the camera just now.

Thank you so much for joining us, Hamid. So Ken got someone at the hatchery interested enough to come online and tell us what fish is going by the cam. We appreciate that so much. We've never had anyone from the hatchery post here. As Sue says, we like to know what fish runs are happening and how many, etc. In the past the cams were only on in the winter. As you know with warmer weather the algae builds up so much quicker so it's so wonderful to have someone at the hatchery that will clean the cam for us when needed.

hi sue,

it could very well have been an otter or a mink. both have been spotted on site in the last month.

the summer Chinook are here and more are swimming up daily. you can also see summer steelhead, rainbow trout, and pike minnows

I try to monitor the status of the camera now and again, but in case something happens and I haven't dealt with it please send me an email [email protected]

cheers,
Hamid

Hi FishCamFan

I changed your png file to a jpg. The forum doesn't show pictures in png format unforunately.
I have idea for sure which type of salmon it is. It looks like a very bloated and dying fish but could well be a pink salmon.
Here is a webpage that shows the different species of salmon in BC.

Hi Sharon and all wave - and thanks for starting this new thread, Sharon! I have tried the cam a few times in the last couple of days with no luck, so will report that in the Technical thread.
