Had a fun adventure with Eagle Eye this morning down near the nest. We took our Beaver Repellent and headed down to the Swamp to see if we could spot the eaglets. Well, no run-ins with the beavers, but also didn't see any eaglets there.
We walked through another water-filled trail and got to a different spot where Eagle Eye had seen eaglets last year when they were kayaking. Thought we were going to be shut out completely, but then 2 of the eaglets flew over us and headed toward the nest, and then back toward the river. Our best guess is that they are hanging out on the gravel bars out in the river most of the time now.
At 5:25 pm I noticed 2 of the eaglets on the eaglecam, 1 in the nest, and the other on the Victory Branch. Has anyone seen any more food drop-offs from the adults lately? I guess the eaglets are still holding out hope!

That was a fun adventure this morning. The trails were under about a foot of freezing COLD water, but it was HOT outside, so it was refreshing. Neat that you saw the eaglets back in the nest. I bet the biologist knows if the eaglets are still getting meals delivered.

10:00 a.m. Thursday...
Well, I just answered my own question! I just found Liberty in the nest, and it looks like a piece of fish or some kind of food is now in the nest! One of the eaglets is sitting out on the Victory Branch, too!
I guess they are still bringing food to the nest!!! What awesome parents these 2 are!

I have had some great luck eagle viewing lately, but not such great luck with my internet server! Technical difficulties are not allowing me to uplaod my latest videos, but I will post some new pics!
Eagleboy(my lucky Irish charm) was with me Friday night at around 7;15 pm. We found Patriot in the "Family Tree" and within minutes, all 3 fledglings had joined him! One by one they each started coming in for landings, the first eaglet had quite a struggle with his landing, and was in quite an awkward position for a bit, but finally righted itself. Lots of calling going on the whole time, which you will hear once I get my videos uploaded! The 2nd eaglet landed right below Patriot, and then along comes the 3rd eaglet who landed on the opposite side of the tree, a bit out of view from where we were standing.
I was able to get a shot of all 4 eagles in that tree when we were heading out, and some good shots of Patriot and the eaglets.
Patriot waits for the kids...

Awkward landing for the 1st eaglet...

A shot of all 4 eagles in the same tree..
