Thanks for the video marks, Bev. I've sent them to David to view. From the sound of the birds I thought they were ravens but then when I saw how small they seemed compared to a male eagle, I thought maybe they are only crows. Ravens are about the size of red-tailed hawks and these birds seem smaller to me. I'll let you know what David says. I certainly hope they aren't ravens because they will steal eagle eggs as you know. Crows cannot do that because their beak is not large enough to carry it from the nest but they could still destroy the egg. Not good either way.

I was just looking at comparison photos on the internet to figure out if these were indeed crows? what is throwing me off is
the size of Dad, "eagle size"....is much larger than the two that were here harassing him,
and we know that ravens are much larger than crows.....I am no expert....and its tricky for sure....I know that ravens have a
more throaty, almost deeper voice than crows do....the two we heard sounded shrill/sharp and more staccato in their vocals, if that makes any sense...lol...

....we don't have too many ravens in Calgary, but you sure can see the size difference when you see one in person!!
