Hello Friends,
Wow Lynda, that sounds very scary!!! I'm glad you and everyone in the area are Okay. Earthquakes are really scary. Sounds like Panda is doing well, 8 1/2 is a good healthy size for a cat. I have seen some previews of the Danish Girl, I did not know it was a true story.
Annie, Thank you for your kind words for Lynn and congrats for Stacy and Jimmy. I saw you are getting us ready for 2016. 2015 has come and gone like flash. I wish life would slow down a little. Thanks for getting us set up for the new year my friend.
Judi, Your experience with the earthquake sounded scary too, especially in the dark. I'm glad there was no damage or lives lost.
Great photos Naoma from the RR Dam, that is alot of rushing water. Thanks for sharing.
Scott, I loved the photo of Holly covered in snow. She sure was lucky to find such a special home.
Doreen, The Mississippi River will crest at 35.24 feet tomorrow at the Lock and Dams in Alton. It is only a few feet below the the record flooding of 1993.
I hope you have a very Happy New Year too my friend.
I did make it to Alton and parked on high ground and walked down to the flooded areas. The Great River Road is closed due to the Mississippi being over the road. Here are some of the photos I got today. I also posted all the photos at FB.
All three of these photos are of the area where the Great River Road starts. They have sandbagged around the old historical building to prevent them from being flooded. The tall building is a Grain Mill, the blue strip on the building is how high the river flooded in 1993.

That looks pretty good if it works as easily as the video shows Iona. How much snow are you hoping for?
