Thanks for pulling all that information together, Bev! I'm thinking their nest is pretty much ready for the final touches they'll add close to egg-laying time, and wonder if salmon is more plentiful at another area, so they've followed the fish. I'm afraid I don't have time to read back right now - are there still lots of eagles on the flats, or not so many now?
And looking at your great documentation from fall of 2014 (starting here - forum/viewtopic.php?topic=736215#736215 - and the following post), it looks as if we didn't see them a lot last winter either. So maybe this is a pattern of sorts for them?
Hopefully they'll stop by and say "hi" soon!

It is interesting that they are different - I know we're seeing the Lafarge and Delta 2 pairs regularly, and I think White Rock as well, though I haven't checked in recently - but it does also seem that the Honeycombs are less urban than our other eagle pairs, so they may do things differently.

Thank you so much Judy for your comments ..you are welcome,.and to answer your question.... we are not seeing many eagles on the flats at all... and only a few flyins in the evening..... and thanks for checking that documentation from 2014...... I forgot about that..
I do feel better now

You're welcome, Bev! And once we start seeing them regularly again, I hope you will consider updating your post - and adding a link to the opening posts like you did last winter - that really is great information, as not all eagles take mid-winter breaks!
