Here is our Harriet at 3:21 AM EST. She is wide awake and just finished some more preening. She has one beautiful wing sort of folded over her body.

Nest Observations Continued

5:15-5:30 I think I saw M15 perched in attic. Soft vocals by H and maybe M. H laid down once then vocal and got back up.

6:10 I am at the nest. It is "crazy" to be here because it is cold and windy. If H stays down in the nest I may not be here long.

6:25 Harriet vocalizes and so does M. He has been in a front pine and flies to the nest.

6:25-6:32 H to porch then OCT. M working the nest

6:38 lol I checked the nest cam. M15 is laying in the nest.

6:52 Harriet is alert to the SE. H flies across the road and to the SE, out of sight. M15 followed right behind her.

M15 and Harriet returned to the nest at around 8:20am, vocalizing. It appeared another large bird flew over the nest tree.

Yes. Landed in tree twice. Kept circling around. Then headed west soaring. Gone now. Sub adult. Followed M in. H had been in nest for 5 minutes or so. One or both flushed the sub. But it kept coming back.

8:30 M to porch then ground. Grabs grasses. To nest.

11.16 vocals and fly off, think it was M15.

Aaaaand H is back standing in the nest .... again! So far, for about an hour or so... I am now convinced she just doesn't like that wind...

There is nothing more beautiful than an eagle.
