FRIDAY, JANUARY 2, 2015

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

12:57pm..........................Wonderful to have this cam back again! Thanks to all responsible for getting it working again! Thanks Ken! This cam is really important to show us what food source is still out there at HM. The eagles have diminished in number but obviously food availability isn't the reason for their leaving...............Lots of fish still here! Many eagles have simply gone home to their nesting territories.

These pictures were taken yesterday, Jan. 1st.

Back in October 2007 Richard Pitt installed a new underwater camera at Chehalis. The installation was streamed and I recorded it. In those days, the stream was 320 x 240.

The original video is in the Hancock Media Gallery, but I had trouble playing it. So I uploaded it to the *old* Hancock Wildlife YouTube Channel and have posted it here.

A second video you may like is this one, also made in October, 2007. David Hancock directs the installation of an under water camera and microphone. Thanks to Richard Pitt and Bob Chapelle, this camera is working successfully. Keta Kosman produced this video and graciously consented to our posting it here on our YouTube website. www.ketadesign.ca

I haven't seen these videos for a long time. Thanks for posting them, Jean. Takes me back to our beginnings.

I had so much fun watching this cam! Got a number of fishy portraits, too.

This post marks the start of the 2015/16 Chehalis Underwater Cam season

Please see the first post of this thread for links to the start of previous seasons

wave Friends of these Fish,
Not sure were the funding for this cam is coming from but I have been called out to assist Ken in making it HAPPEN.We will be on sight Sat.26( talons crossed)This will be my first attempt at our under water cam.As some of you may know I have helped in our Two(2) tower camís on the flats over the past few yearís, but funding is falling short for that this year.
but rest assured I will give 110% of my efforts to see this cam working and bring our members and supporters what they need and want from the HWF.
Cheers
