Great pictures, Annemie. So happy to hear Ma and Pa Hastings are now feeding a chick or two. Hope to see you at OWL's open house tomorrow. The Nature of Things film crew was there today and interviewed a few of our members.

Global TV also was there to shoot the release which they showed on this evening's newscast. It was the eagle that was rescued from a hydro pole upside down three months ago.

Worrisome news Annemie that part of the nest has fallen. Let's hope that's it and the rest holds!
Great news of the feeding that seems to be happening!

I walked over today to see for myself but the PNE grounds crew had already cleaned up most of the fallen parts of the nest from the grass underneath.

Naked eye views appear to indicate the south portion of the nest is still in good shape. This is the side of the nest where one of the adults has been seen sitting on most visits. Hopefully all will remain well up there barring any crazy weather event down the road fingers crossed

Then the eagle did a shimmy and lowered it self.

Great shots of parent in the nest. It still looks a good size despite the part that fell. One of our local nests lost a good chunk during last nesting season and the lets fledged just fine weeks later. It still hasn't been rebuilt on the side that broke off and the adults are nesting in it again. fingers crossed
