Hi Judy et al!!
Judy, great introduction to this years forum. Thank you for incorporating all the pertinent details of the previous years. A great quick reference post.
It was extremely slow trying to log on this evening. Hope there is no problem with the forum site
I captured a good image of one of our unwelcome nest visitor yesterday. Hopefully EnMax will clean out the nest bowl ( and clean the camera housing to get rid of that dark stripe across the middle of the image) before the geese lay eggs.

Looking forward to the return of our family - about a month to go - human as well as the Osprey

hi everyone,
I finally clued in and came to the new forum. Just a little slow. It is great to hear the zoo nest is clear and thee geese will not settle in. BET, the scaps you captured of the geese are really cool!
Now we just have to hope enmax moves the camera when it is time for the return!
Enjoy the weekend.

Hello Judy, BET, Janet, Christine and everyone ---
Oh.......the anticipation! As I drive by the different osprey nests around the city, I find myself
checking the usual lamp posts, utility poles, favorite osprey perches, etc....LOL
So thankful for Enmax, in regards to the clearing the particular nest platforms, where we've been having issues with Canada Geese in recent seasons
Ready to go!

HAPPY EASTER, Judy, Bet, Janet, Christine, Michelle, and all who visit here.
I hope that everyone had a good winter and I know we are all looking forward to seeing our osprey return! One osprey was reported from the Lafarge area early last week, that may be what prompted Enmax to aim the camera back on the nest, Bet. I do feel sorry that our osprey have to rebuild from scratch every year, I noticed that some of the Montana nests have guards placed over them in the fall and then removed when the osprey come back so that might be good to investigate.
This year we have had just the opposite winter weather in Calgary that we had last, ie. very little snow and record warm temperatures a lot of the time. However now that April has arrived it has turned colder with a bit of snow last night and today. We really need the moisture as grass fires broke out in nearby counties last Thursday and earlier in March, - wouldn't it be lovely if it fell as rain though ?
