Good Morning Friends,
Hard to believe it is 2015. It makes it easy to remember how young I'm since I was born in 1950. Thank you Annie for getting our nest moved to the new year. You did a great job.
I have missed the coughs, colds, and gastric flu so far. I'm hoping the vaccine I got will help some. There are new viruses this year so that makes it tough. Carolyn, Doreen, and all that are under the weather I hope you are well soon.
Doreen, Your cats remind me of Sweety Pie, they look like they are right at home. Wonderful cat Tree!!!!
Naoma, Wow, That is a bummer that a new computer to have hard drive issues. I miss you and your posts. I hope you are back soon.
Scott, What a beautiful view in the mist. I wish I was there. Heading to your eagle outing next.
Hawaii is sounding mighty nice as the cold is hear. Lynda, when do you and Ian head for Maui?
Thanks to all for your 2015 wishes and comments on the young soaring Eagle. The migratory Eagles are here in very low numbers. I have a friend that visited Le Claire Iowa Lock and Dam 14 the past couple days. She saw at least a hundred eagles there. As it freezes and gets colder those eagles will head our way. Le Claire is around 250 miles north of my neck of the woods.
I stopped to check out an Eagle and when I got back to my car I could hear a loud drumming on a tree. It was this delightful female Pileated Woodpecker.
Down the road this beautiful Red-tailed Hawk was watching for a prey from it's high perch.
At Tow Rivers Refuge this male Belted Kingfisher watching over a run over between Swan Lake and the Illinois River.
Always some beautiful Nature to see. I have also found two owl nest sites. I will be watching them as Spring approaches.
I hope everyone has an awesome day.

Good Morning friends.....
Scott, perfect! Miss Leaps a Lot is behaving herself so far today, it's rest, relaxation and think of what to do next time, I guess? Great link to Dr. Rogers.
Linda, I love those pictures! You had such a treat.
Judi, hope you feel better.
Jean, good morning to you. I am glad you got your peas.
Miss Bleu is still tired from being with us at their house for two days (back and forth not overnite). Eli was chasing and running with her and Gus Gus.
Enjoy your day!
