Cam has frozen a lot today. So, I don't know much of what has occurred, but at 2:55, Mom was quietly brooding staring out towards the river - maybe watching the ducks. Suddenly she stood, and a glimpse of Sue (?) over the nest. Probably thinking of landing until she saw it was Mom in residence.

Mom spread wings and kept the nest covered as best she could - turning to keep the "invader" in sight.

It was apparently enough to prevent a landing as Mom quickly settled back down to brood.

Mom is up to roll the eggs. One egg was looking 'un-egg like' but it may be grass covering part of it.

Mum? got up and had a good wing stretch - really looked as though she was taking off at one point - but then settled doen to incubate!

Are those eggs all right? don't look the same to me!

Here are two images of the eggs. One from mid day and the second this evening. All three look fine to me. One is really a dark color. Possibly due to the cedar bark that was used as lining in the nest bowl, or maybe just naturally that color. I watched Mom roll the eggs and they all seem to roll. This coming Sunday is 35 days for the first egg. With as many weird problems with other nests this year, my hope is that all goes well with this family.

WEATHER: Morning rain showers becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with a high of 15C.

Dad was on the eggs. He flew off and Mom came flying in a moment later to take over.
The eggs look fine today and no sign of the interloper .

Dad left the eggs - a minute til Mom arrived.

All three looking fine. Too small and too many spots to see if there is any sign of a pip. Mom has done a lot of turning the eggs today. Maybe she feels some strong stirrings which make her need to check them.
