Hi Shrub wave

Thank You for telling me about O.W.L. and not being able to see Hope and Ernest.
I understand why we can not see our eaglets, oh well.

Anyway I hope to see you Saturday, if not I understand.

Big hugs

Hello Everyone,

I just thought I would bring you up to date on the youngsters of this nest.

I spoke to Nigel at OWL yesterday, and he told me that the pair were just put in the flight cage on Friday, where they will be spending about 2 weeks. If every thing goes good, they will be released shortly there after! Other wise the pair are doing awesome! Roll eyes

I can't wait for that day to come! My husband has already made it clear, he will be taking the day off work, if these two are released during the day. Talons crossed they release them in the early evening like they did with Ma from Port Moody. fingers crossed

They will be posting when the release will happen, and I will be keeping in close contact with OWL as well so nobody misses this exciting event.

Cheers for now! wave

This is all good Shrub! Left thumb up

OWL needs to know that the parents are around EVERY night either at the old but mostly the new location across the street. Last night both adults on the new nest at sunset.

Annemie talked to Martina at the open house and she promised to keep everyone in the loop. Glad to hear of your other contact at OWL and that he too will keep us updated on what the plan is and when. Got it covered Nodding yes

Cheers for now! wave

That sounds good Shrub. Thanks.
The eagles are still around every evening.
It looks like they are finished building their nest.
As of last week Ma comes in at exactly 8:45 pm every evening.
Where she got a clock from I don't know.
She then sits on her new favorite branch above the new nest.
After, when you hear the screeching of angry seagulls, pa flies in.
Pa does not have a clock so he comes late.
When it gets dark they appear to fly to the old cottonwood ,where the old nest was, and sleep there.
So if their eaglets get released early in the evening the parent will be no where to be found.

Hi everyone,
A little birdie (Larry) said the release of the two eaglets yesterday was successful. I'm sure he mentioned to you that his laptop is down for 2 to 4 weeks, so he can't post his pics. Looking forward to seeing your pics Heather, Stu, Jason, Stan and Annemie and all that attended.

Heartwarming news after such a tragic season. Hope Ma and or Pa are still around.
Huge thanks to all the folks at OWL, each and everyone of them.
hug

Dawn

ohh Scott, was editing my post to thank-you too. You played the biggest role by letting others here know what was happening.

So glad you were there. hug

Great to know that you've seen one nearby.
