Beautiful wingspan - thanks, Carole!

Patti from the Maine forum noticed that it looks as if part of the nest may have collapsed. Happily both chicks look OK, and they're a bit over 11 weeks old, so should be OK even if more of it decides to go.

Here's a current picture, with one lying in the nest and the other on a branch, but it's hard to tell with all the shadows.

Hi Carole!! Nice wingspan capture!!

JudyB--looking at Carole's picture it looks like the whole darn nest is pretty well collapsing. It reminds me of that Delta 1 nest from quite a few years back. I have a few pictures from the last several days to post but didn't notice the nest. Sometimes that nest was so much in the shadows I had a hard time finding the birds so didn't even notice the nest!! Wooh

I completely hear you, Mary - I've been trying to watch and confirm that both eaglets really are OK - and I have done that, at least to my own satisfaction - but it wasn't easy. And I've no clue if one or both have fledged, but am pretty sure both are spending time out of sight of the cam. love

JudyB--I have seen both eaglets over the last several days and they look fine to me. I know they are both branching although I have no idea when they started that. As far as fledging goes??? It's a bit hard to tell with a static cam on a 10 second delay. Their former cam did a much nicer job of covering the nest and it's activities. Roll eyes I'll post my older captures in the morning g and you can get a look at the eaglets.

Adult and at least one chick on the nest - not sure where the second chick is - maybe still on the left part of the Y branch?

And this is a current picture, about 3:30 am - one chick on the left part of the Y branch, and the other on the branch to the left of the nest

Hi Mary & JudyB

Oh gosh the poor deteriorating nest. The shadows do make it hard to see the corroding changes Sad
I do hope Ma & Pa Lake Washington rebuild next season. As hard as this cam was to watch I got deeply attached to this family.

3:00 - 3:45pm Both branching eaglets are doing fine going from whats left of the nest by the tree out to the Y.
