I haven't seen much action on the nest when I've checked in.
Mom was beaking at the piece of bark but otherwise she's been incubating the eggs.

I took some images earlier this afternoon, but have not processed them. Tried uploading a video of the Maine Loons to UTube - it took over an hour for a 1 min 10 second video There must be an easier way - but I end up learning every thing by trial and error.

Dad was quietly brooding for a long long time, never moving, I thought the cam was frozen, but no, just Dad Mom flew in with some nesting material. Now this is a shock. Given that to start with, she never, not once, brought any material in to build the nest. For that matter, she did not arrange it either. She just stood like a statue in Dad's way. So you see, this is an EVENT



Dad did not really want to give up his spot, but eventually did and flew off



Returned shortly thereafter, just stood about awhile as Mom did not want to get up now that she had the bowl.

Somewhere around 7:15 pm
Adult flew off leaving the eggs alone


7:16 pm
Adult returns -- I think they made a switch.

I see the O's have added to their nest collection.
No idea what that dark thing is. It looks like dark fabric of some sort and I hope I'm correct. Fingers crossed that it's not another plastic bag.

Mid afternoon (I forgot to note time)

O's added a new object. Not sure what it is, but even if it is plastic (which I don't think it is) it is small enough to manage. The big bag, they couldn't move, it was so big, they were standing on it while they tried to move it.



Mom got restless. Stood up and did a lot of wing stretches and then took off




Returned within a minute. Did some more wing stretching before she settled back down to brood.

The brown fabric/plastic is gone this morning. Wonder which O. removed it ?

Dad, being the great Daddy O that he is brings Mom a fish which she quickly grabs onto



Hesitating only long enough to get a good grip on the fish, Mom takes off with her gift to ?

Pouring rain in Calgary.
I see we have more black plastic on the nest and the fabric thing has reappeared.
