From what we can see on recent videos and pictures Ma Delta has a leg injury.
Thanks to txsun for the video. ...

Bev and the folks at OWL have been notified but at this point it is near impossible to see exactly what the leg problem is and what can be done about it. It may be sprained -- it may be broken.
Unless Mom is grounded there is really nothing that can be done at this point. Catching her would be next to impossible as long as she healthy and can fly but Bev and the crew at OWL will quite likely make frequent visits to the nest area to check on her. If it gets to the point that she is in a situation to be caught they would definitely take her in to be treated.

What we can do as a group here at HWF is report what we see, take screen captures and videos and post them here so that we can keep an eye on her to keep OWL informed.

Sad to say that as much as we love watching the eagles bad things do sometimes happen which is out of our control. We can only hope and pray for the best outcome.

Here are two more videos that were also sent to Bev at OWL, and a pic of Ma on the nest right after she flew in.
She made it up on the branch and has moved a couple times during the night. There was no sign of any blood on the nest or on Ma's foot. She seems to be sleeping part of the time. Pa was with her when she came in, but is most likely up on another branch.

Thank you for your posts and videos, and for getting the news to David and Bev so they can keep watch.

Mom just flew off. Both cams are looking for her.

No sign of either adult - which is not surprising as they no doubt have lots of places where they perch.

Just curious, will there be any attempt to trap her?
