7:48pm................I always hope to see our adults back here although I know that this is not a realistic expectation. Loved all your pictures of Pa today ................looks like he was just checking on things. Kinda made me sad to see him there. Everything looks very, very lonely. I hope that this lovely pair has another chance next year to make things right! I have been peeking at the nest every day but not commenting much but do want you all to know that we do appreciate your dedication to this site and the time you invest in keeping us all up to date!

:hello:Annie, Tina, Sue, Jo, Ducky, Dan and all!
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time;............they have the heart..........Elizabeth Andrew

I checked the White Rock Eagle Chat forum, and BostonEbird saw a juvie arrive at the nest at about 7:00 am and destroy the remaining egg.
Here's a link to her post on their forum, with the series of pictures - http://www.whiterockeaglechat.com/forum ... 99#msg8099, and she's given me permission to add a couple of her captures to this post.
The following pictures are courtesy of BostonEbird, and click larger. The first is the juvie arriving at the nest at 7 am, and the second is the juvie on a branch at 7:03 am, after breaking the egg.

There are additional pictures showing the juvie returning to the nest and eating the contents of the egg, then flying back to the branch, and finally being chased off by an adult at 7:10 am.
Thanks to BostonEbird, Bonnieb2, and Starwolf535 for documenting what happened this morning.
I can't really think of any appropriate words to say, so....
Edited May 12, 2013, to add a link to a post by Boston with a link to a video by Amyam of the incident:

Thanks again, Boston, and thanks, Amyam!
