While I was posting Dad to be arrived with some nest stuff. The red glow still in effect

He is really into the gathering at this time. I think it has been 6 trips in the last 10/15 minutes with grass, twigs and now a big stick.
Mom turned to see what he had brought and her entire body caught the light

She has flown off now and Dad is just standing looking all about

Hi Everyone,
Yes, it is Christine! Call me a fool but I could not find the forum. I could only find last year's because I had it bookmarked. Hmmm.....index....there is an index. Go there, Christine. Sigh.
Nice to see all the building at the nest and hear about the fish deliveries.
Thanks, BET, for the comparison pictures. I am so glad Supermom is back.
I am very pleased Enmax clears off the nest to prevent geese. Sure, it means the O's have to rebuild but there is geese problems at some other nests in the city. All of a sudden, Ospreys have descended on Calgary and people are seeing them all over. I bet they took the same flight.

:hello: Christine,
Glad you made it! I'm just home and happy with our long evenings as it was nice to see Mom still on the nest at 9:20 pm. Her beau came in as she was calling and I guess wanted to end the day as it no doubt began.
They must have bonded very well on their journey back to Calgary. He left right away and at 9:27 pm Mom turned in the nest and flew away to the right, probably to perch in the trees just behind the nest.
The nest shows all the hard work they have done on this warm but windy spring day, thanks for all the s'caps and reports, Judy, Bet and Jean.

Zoo Osprey back from migration and Janet back from hibernation....
Visited the O from 8-830 MST this evening, initially one on nest and one on pole immediately to the right of nest as you are looking at the Enmax Cam
Then lots of hunting for sticks !
Such a gorgeous evening, next time I pitch my tent, I didn't want to leave... lol
Forgot to take my tripod and very windy so pics not too clear
Panorama of nest surroundings
Far left, O on pole and other O on nest when we arrived
Just a note on other nests. Geese have taken over the Highway22x/Macleod Trail nest for the past couple weeks. I saw Osprey on adjacent pole once about 3 days ago, but not since.
Today saw one Osprey on a deserted Enmax Osprey Platform on Deerfoot Trail and Bow Bottom Trail, it was gone tho later, no nest there
It was deserted all last year.
Further North, 2 Osprey are busy building a nest on Osprey Platform on Deerfoot Trail beside Glenmore Trail and I have great pics of those.
(Thank you Christine for instructions to upload pics again...you are always there for me)

10:18pm.............Good evening BET, Christine and Janet! Thanks for the update on osprey in the area Janet and thank you for those terrific pictures!! Christine, don't feel bad...............I did the same thing as I had the site as a shortcut on my monitor..............couldn't find 2013 or else I would have been here a couple of days earlier!
It is very dark, but it looks like no one in the nest at the moment.
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time;............they have the heart..........Elizabeth Andrew

Great pics, Janet.
It sure looks like our new "boy" is catching on but I think Supermom is telling him what to do. Even if we can't hear the sound, you can sure see her beak moving.
