8:04 a.m.
Dad finally arrives to the nest and he has brought Mom a small fish. She wasted no time securing her fish and flew off with it leaving Dad on the nest alone.


8:07 a.m.
Dad exits the nest.


Soon after Dad left Mom returned to eat her fish on the nest.

8:33 a.m.
Both on the nest again.

8:42 a.m.
Gee, Mom do you think this is going to fit ?? Could she find a longer stick ?

Now Dad is on the nest and Mom is trying to move the stick and he's standing in her way.


8:50 a.m.
Mom was off and arrived again shortly with a huge stick. Dad flinched when she dropped it on the nest,...likely thinking it was going to make contact with the top of his head..

What is amazing to me is the number of sticks that Mom has brought in today and Dad hasn't really done much except bring her a fish. He's definitely not a "superhero dad" like our former SUPERDAD. We'll see how he does when chicks arrive.

Hi jkr....It's hard when you follow up a Super Dad. Luckily he does not know and will learn in his own way. We get to watch it unfold!
When I saw the empty nest I figured this would be one heck of a job....but I am beginning to see.......

10:11am...................Good morning Judy, Carolyn and anyone else here! Wow...........there are many more sticks here than last night! Good building skills..............bring more please! Someone is here on the nest now............some grooming going on.

10:38am................2 of them here now............but one flew off to the right. I really am going to have to figure out a way to tell them apart!





10:39am..............Both are gone now.

10:41am.............One is back with a small stick.
