I just finished checking 2010 date/time lines

Dad arrived on April 22, Mom April 27 Nest rebuilt First egg laid May 9

So we are still within a "normal" if there is a normal - timeline this year.

So excited. Heard that O are back on the Highway 22x yesterday and another spotted the previous day near Carburn Park in Calgary.

Second O lands on Mom's back

No, it did not attempt a mating. The landing was just a brief "hello, I'm here" Then moved over to perch on the side of the box.

Mom must have been having a courtship on her way back! She showed absolutely no protest at this Male landing on her, nor his staying on the box!
