I hope they're wrong about the storm. This nest has no protection at all and it doesn't appear that it would have good drainage in a severe rain storm. Sad

It may be up off the ground - hard to get a sense of perspective, but I'm thinking it may be like the box attached to the tree where the other eagle is perched.

I'm wondering if the other eagles we see are sharing one big area with Derek and Savannah, or if they have their own fenced in spaces. Lots of questions. Smile

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the weather isn't too bad there today.

Thank you for the great pictures jkr. Wonderful to see that Savannah is able to care for her eggs at this stage. Since I have not been able to get on the camera this morning, was not able to check nest drainage yet. Very early this morning I looked in on Shepherdstown, WV; it was really storming.
