Hey Carolyne!!! It's good to see you here at HWF!! Welcome I knew that the cam would be turned off soon but not exactly when. We will miss Frank and Indy while it's off. Is there any word on about when we will have it back for the next season?

From savetheeagle (who is Carolyne for this post) on chat--- Thank You for the information, Carolyne!!!

savetheeagle: "Great American Heroes" TV show (with country singer Trace Atkins and AEF's Al Cecere) that features the work of the AEF will air on October 28th on GAC network. I think at 8PM ET and 7PM CT.

If you go to this link there is a place to see if GAC is available where you live. It's carried here in San Antonio but not on my basic cable. Mad

Al Cecere
American Eagle Foundation

Al Louis Cecere, founder and president of the American Eagle Foundation, always had a love for animals. He always pictured himself as a veterinarian, but instead he joined the Coast Guard and was a member of President Johnson's Ceremonial Honor Guard in Washington D.C. during the Vietnam War. Later, Al went to film school and became part of the Nashville entertainment scene. His world changed forever when one day he read an article in The Tennessean featuring a photograph of two dozen dead bald eagles that had been shot by poachers. "It had a tremendous impact on me," said Cecere. He contacted the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency offering to help their bald eagle rescue and the American Eagle Foundation was born. As their program grew, they needed more space to house the eagles. Today some of his rescued eagles are displayed at Dollywood in the "Birds Of Prey" show. Al has saved hundreds of bald eagles and now they are no longer on the endangered species list.

Here's an older but nice video of Al Cecere and his (the AEF's) beautiful educational bald eagle, Challenger. Thought y'all might like to see it. Wub

Since we do only have those few days left before they turn the cam off I went a little crazy with s'caps when they zoomed the cam in close! Wooh They posed very nicely for us for hours I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed watching Frank and Indy. These were taken between about 12:30 to 4:30PM nest time.

Indy up close on a damp day
