Hi Terry. I'm not good with distances but here's a shot from the opposite side of the river that I took last summer. It's not as far as it looks from the cam.


6:15 pm
The chick stops eating and both stare at something passing overhead.


6:18 pm
Osprey flies from left to right up the river and headed for the sandbar. It could be one of ours -- or maybe not :dunno:

Thanks, Judy! I figured it wasn't too far or we'd not see the birds out there at all.

6:36pm still just 2 on the nest and 1 is still eating.

6:45 pm
The third chick arrives from the upper right screen and gracefully landed at the 10:00 corner.
The one at 1:00 is still eating and the other one is standing at mid nest.


6:51 pm
The chicks are suddenly flared out and chittering at something overhead. They calm down almost instantly.

7:11 pm
The chick at 1:00 has finally finished eating and wanders to mid nest.
The three are now lined up to look out to the river.


7:12 pm
There must be a piece of fish and another chick picks it up and mantles over it. Yes he does have it and begins eating.


7:13 pm
Now the chick that had the fish previously moves to 4:00 and is watching him eat.


I am out for the evening.

8:01pm......There is one chick on the rim of the nest. It is grooming itself and seems quite content to be there.

8:30 pm I missed mom bringing a fish but the chick at 7:00 pm is eating and the others want it.

8:38pm..................Still 3 chicks in the nest and the one at the lower left corner seems to be eating..........but not for long. It moved away from that area and I don't see any food left. If Mom brought in a fish it must have been a small one.





8:43pm.............They are all just standing there as if waiting for a food delivery.

When I noticed the fish I saw it was small so I wonder if one of the 'lets caught it or mom brought it in.
