I thought they were on the sandbar and one of the chicks flew from the sandbar to the nest and then was right off again.

Good morning, Donna and Judy,:hello:
That was quite a day yesterday, thanks everyone for all the posts and s'caps.
I saw that quick on and off this morning too, Donna.
At 8:48 am one oslet came in to stay awhile, joined by her sibling at 8:53 am.
Guess they are waiting for room service to begin. Supposed to hit a warm 29C today so hopefully there will be a good breakfast soon.
I really don't know how long Mom can keep this up, she must be getting so tired. It's a good thing that our chicks are able to defend the nest so well too with all the intruder activity.
I'm away for a few days so look forward to all your reports. I hope that all goes
well.

Morning All
9:28am
Three wait

What will today bring?
EDIT 11:30am
Not much to report for the last two hours. Two chicks have been on / off the nest - just standing around - haven't noted them peeping/squawking.

Good afternoon!
2:16 pm
I've been watching the chicks coming and going this afternoon, and it looks as if they've gone into defensive mode briefly a couple of times, but haven't seen Mom yet today, though I haven't been watching constantly. Perhaps she's taking a bit of a break after her heroic efforts yesterday. Must admit my eyes aren't good enough to see if anyone osprey-like is down on the sand bar.
Two chicks on the nest at the moment and the third was there a few minutes ago. I also haven't seen more than three today.

I haven't seen Mom or a fish since I logged on this am 9:30am nest time. Haven't seen our #4 either. Once I thought Mom might be near, but that fizzled out. I have seen a big dark bird on the sand bar a couple of times. Probably an O.
That's it so far.
