6:52 2 just came in for the most beautiful, graceful landings! I'm sad I hadn't set up video record yet. They are soooo beautiful!

6:55 The one that was on the nest just took off!

Two chicks have taken off for a fly-about. One remains on the nest.

7:03 pm,
One returns.


7:06 pm
The one chick hasn't returned yet.
The gulls are flying everywhere.
The two chicks on the nest are swaying in the wind.


7:12 p.m.
I wonder if the wandering chick is still flying around or if he found a place to perch ? I haven't seen him pass the camera since he left.

Whew! What a fascinating day it was here. BET you deserve a break for sure after all that. I bet your pups were sitting scratching their heads in wonder at your expressions?

Hi Judy and Darlene,

7:15 pm Two young on the nest now, a blowing in the wind.
The wind has come up just recently and the beautiful warm day is to give way to some welcome rain and a cooler weekend (not so welcome).

Don`t worry about the eagles, etc. over the river, BET. Mom had no problems with them and her youngsters were able to chase off the intruding young osprey so all is well. We are so lucky that the river cleared up in time for Mom to find lots of fish for her young. that it is just wind and rain tonight, I`ll check in later.

The flock of gulls leave the sandbar.
Still no sign of our third chick.

7:36 pm
One chick left the nest. He went straight up and out of sight.
He returned and had a problem landing -- the wind kept him from getting a tight grip on the nest. I am assuming it's the same chick.


7:38 pm
He flew off again. One remains on the nest.

7:40 pm
Two return. We're still missing one chick.


7:41 pm
One flew off again. I can't keep up with them coming and going.
Now the last one flew off as well.
Empty nest again.

7:42 pm
One arrives.


7:44 pm
He flew off again.
Empty nest.


7:49 pm
Two back.


7:50 pm
One gone again and one left on the nest. Still no sign of the third for awhile now.
