At 8 o'clock this morning Dad was in the Peter's Tree (near the waterfront) and Mom was in the Babysitting Tree (70 feet from the nest). Both the Wiig's eagles (at Sandstone Point) returned yesterday. They were perched in the Flat Top Tree this morning. Dad is still in the Peters' Tree but Mom is off somewhere.

Thanks for the updates, Bev and Doug. So glad that Ma and Pa have safely returned for another year's highjinks!

I have watched Hornby since I found the forum in the spring of 2009, was one of the few to see Hope's first fly-hop onto the cu cam and that was such a thrill! Have followed the highs and lows of the nest ever since, it has been quite the ride.

Thank you so much Doug for bringing your world to us, David for this marvelous forum and all who post and volunteer here. It is such a privilege to view these nests without intruding and interfering with their lives.

Since my hearing is impaired I do appreciate all your references to the sounds around the nest, too. Guess that is why I loved Hope's screeping - her I could hear very well!

Been checking on the nest off & on and have not seen Mom & Dad yet. Reading back through the forum sounds like they have not appeared at the nest. When does the nest building usually start? I don't remember what was said in the past. Thanks for the updates, Doug. At least we know they are moving about - no doubt just enjoying their "down" time yet. Nest look so clean & crisp with the cameras cleaned!
