Klaw - I hope your godson made a safe and sound arrival?

Tina - As always, wonderful wonderful photos. In the one that has mom and flounder, pretty cool catch <wink> by the way! Is that the area called 1000 steps in the background? I am still trying to get a feel for this town the way it is laid out and where the nests are.

Yes, there is another nest marked down the other side of white rock, is that where you were?

I AM coming up there next year by golly! I can't think of a nicer vacation. I have to make sure I have a cat sitter though. The one problem with taking in rescues.

@Eaglenut - Are those stairs accessible for the public? If so, what street do you use to get to them. Beautiful looking area for some light recreation and as I have walking issues we can't take the long way around to take a look.

suzcues and syrinx -The steps in the background of the above photo are private steps and not the 1001 Steps trail.

Thanks for letting us know. DH says, "so there is a "1001 Steps Trail" somewhere there?

At the beach today, we could see a WR parent fly over a fledgling, Delta I think and then head to the trees with a fish in her talons.

Love those! I think it is Charlie when I zoom in there is a lot of white striation in the tail (or seems to me). Your pictures are so good you can zoom in forever and get good detail!

I just saw the other three and we missed a food drop today Sad but did see Delta eating in the nest so maybe that is her.

Here is the map and site of the 1001 Steps Trail http://www.greatervancouverparks.com/1001Steps01.html
