Here we go again, Mom's landed on an outer branch, both calling..

12:07pm
sorta quiet at the moment, Dad just called a couple of more times.
12:11pm
Quiet, Mom's still on the outer branch.

11:40-42 - Multiple trills and frantic looking around...up a little where I could see
the egg. Calm now and rocks a couple of times over the bowl.
11:44-45 Looking around/up scanning for the intruder.
11:48-52a - Mom gets up and Dad flies in.

Mom flies out over the Bay.
11:53-56a - Dad, after some picking at the nesting begins trilling and looking
up. He changes position...rocks over the bowl and settles to brood facing 3.
Trills twice.
11:57a - More trills and looks above; by the sound of the trills, he sees
something. He readjusts his position slightly to 4 making the lil one slightly
visible.
12:00p. Much trilling and frantic looking around/above.
I was interrupted by the phone but I saw the intruder flying around the Bay area.

Hi Lori, I saw a couple of 'whiz-bys' too, and at the time thought it was a juvie, but the photo I did get is definitely of an adult and could be of Mom chasing the intruder away :dunno:.
Mom and Pop WR certainly know how to defend what is theirs and protect their little one...woohoo!!!!
12:18pm
Both seem frantic again, calling, looking upwards.

right over their heads too that has to be pretty scary feeling!
12:19

they are a great pair at trying to fend off aren't they Sandra! the one scene there was 3 birds in the air and two of them had white back ends unless my eyes are messed up as usual
I would rather spend my life close to the birds than wishing I had wings

12:08-17p - I only had the CU showing then checked WA and see Mom is perched
on the left branch on alert for the intruder. Isn't she big and just beautiful!

12:17-20p - Both trilling warning constantly during this time. The little one was
partially exposed and I think peeping a lot, at least I believe that's what I was hearing.
I'm out to lunch @12:22....BBL

12;25PM
The chicklet is certainly getting an early lesson in "eaglese"

12:27pm
Dad remains sitting (looks like) with his butt against the bowl.
The 'let could come out but has chosen to stay tucked in to safety.
12:30pm
The WA shows that Mom has left, Dad is calling and looking all about.
Calls heard from off the nest.

Lots of Hub Bub at the nest. I just saw three Eagles cruise by.
One WR Eagle on patrol, the other on constant alert, brooding.
Much yelling !!
