Wow! Nice catch Judy. Thank you very much !!
2:43PM no activity at the moment.
3:35PM I hear gulls out there somewhere but no sign of our eagles.
4:37PM no eagle activity
I think it is a very low tide today... if I'm not mistaken there are sandbars in view wher there should be water.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

5:21PM eagle left the top of the tree
switched to night view
I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Wonderful pictures, Judy - and interesting that a juvie could stay there so long. I wonder if it is one of the chicks from previous years....
I was watching for a while in early-mid afternoon, heard some calls but didn't see anyone.
Edited January 30 to add information from David Hancock, who said (perhaps after viewing the member-only high-res archive pictures) that this looked to be a 2 yr. juvie.
David and Karen Bills clarified for me that a 2 yr juvie is one in its second year - more than one year old but less than two years old. The terminology was new to me, so I'm adding it hear as well. Given that eggs in this area tend to hatch in April, that's when this juvie will likely become two years old - and a 3 year juvie.

7:17am - eagle is in the middle of the nest bowl working on the bowl, a train is going by under the nest.
7:19am - eagle has now moved to the branch on the left hand side above the bowl.

7:25 am
Eagle is still perched on the branch. Cam is on night vision still, I think - or else it's a very gray day. I have a s'cap to add later.
7:36 am
Cam has switched to color, and the eagle has gone.
Edited to add pic from 7:25 am

Oh interesting - but guys, this bird isn't a juvenile eagle - there is no way a juvenile bald would have a light colored breast plumage like that. This looks to me to be a buteo hawk, and the rufous throat on the bird is really interesting. It might just be a red tail morph that I'm not familiar with but even the dark western RTs I'm not sure have that light breast and rufous throat. It has a hint of white on the upperwings too. What jumped into my mind (although I'm not at all sure that's what this is, it just made me think of it) is a rufous-morph ferruginous hawk. I don't suppose there's any video capture footage of this bird? It would be nice to see some other angles.
