The Forum Has Moved!

Thank you Stan! New nest should be an easy find and yes, all positive thoughts and good wishes go out to our eagle couple for this nesting season.

Very exciting day at the Hastings nest folks! Both eagles were clearly visible from a distance at the new nest. Ma up top on a perch and Dad doing the construction work underneath. At one point Dad flew off and came back with a stick. Nest is starting to take shape .

Later both sat side by side on a perch in the full sun....lovely sight!

As Annemie and I left Pa was back to building the rim. I wish them the best with the latest nest

Annemie tried to get some pictures but the camera battery went dead. If she managed any good ones before it died she'll post them for sure

Hi Stim, Diana, Sharon and all lovers of these eagles.

It is very cold indeed but the Hastings eagles were never the less very busy with their nest.

Just I was pulling out the camera, Pa flew off.

Ma kept working on the nest.



Pa came back with a big twig.
I did not get that shot as the camera battery went dead.

Then Pa flew to get another twig.
They both were really enthusiastic.
As Pa flew away, Ma Hastings tried out the nest.

Looking good, sounding promising!

Great pictures! Thanks... From what Mike and I saw it looks a bit sturdier than the last nest so hopefully all will go well this year. There is a nice groundskeeper called Ben that keeps an eye on them and will contact us if he sees anything that looks alarming. Annemei do you know when she started incubating last year?
