Good to see you posting Terilyn wave The Vienna Zoo is keeping a blog of the baby and seems mama left the den for a quick drink of water so there is a new update and photo of baby...well arrow pointing to him in the boo hay ... WhistlingShh

Edit to add: Video of Yang Yang leaving the den for water. The zoo says they are experiencing extreme heat which is probably why she went for water so soon. The baby looks big and healthy and noisy! Wonder if it's another boy?!

3rd September: The first color photograph

Milk fat belly and black and white fur: zoologist Eveline Dungl yesterday afternoon, the first photo of the Panda Baby succeeded. The picture was taken through the side door of the Wurfbox, when the female panda has left for a few minutes the Wurfbox to drink and something to eat bamboo.

We see clearly that the 11-day-old baby panda has already made his first major development step: It has been characteristic of giant pandas black and white coat pattern.. "The young panda is developing wonderfully. On the ears, the shoulder band, hind legs and around the eyes, he already has short black hair under a white baby down, "said zoo director Dagmar Schratter." The young animal does not only depend on fur, but also by the proportions of her now as Giant Panda from a real. It is not as long and narrow at his birth. "
