Not much to report. The weather here is going to reach 101 - 106 for the next four days so don't expect much out of me. Hot weather does me in.

Judy, as far as I know - and I am NOT a fisherman, the fish feed in the early am and the late afternoon/early evening when the bugs and mosquitoes are out feeding on me - which is one reason why I disliked fishing not to mention scaling and gutting the things. ICK

What I was trying to say was that would be when the young Osprey would be most likely to make their catches - the fish close to the surface.



The nest has been quiet this afternoon. A couple of magpie visits and then one of the chicks - not sure which one - for a couple of minutes.

Senior flies in.


and yes, withing two minutes Dad is inbound with a fish



Senior quickly grabs it and turns away mantling.

One of the LAs flies in but Senior is not about to relinquish her fish. So - I think it's Mom, not Dad and the LA stand and wait. while Senior toys with the fish taking her time to take a bite.

BET, I hear you about the heatwave. We're also in for another brutal heatwave beginning tomorrow. Is there no end to it ? We are desperately needing RAIN !

The LA flew off before her but I wasn't watching the time. The photographer is still riverside.

... I will be out for supper and the evening. Not sure if I will get back early enough to catch anyone at the nest since they seem to disappear around 8:00 or so lately. BBL
