Hi Bev well I am not sure what will happen and your question is a good one!

If these eggs fail I hope they will try again I am thinking
forward or positively I guess Smile We will certainly learn more from this perfect storm.

Cheepng heard off camera; then adult flies in
then the other adult comes in with more food.

One adult flies out I think Dad and Mom is near
6 oclock eating again Grin
More branches brought in too I think.

Nutrition is a must Clapping

Mom has finished her meal and left the nest.
No attempt to incubate the eggs.

Is this the first year there was snow on the nest ?

Hi Bev, and welcome to the thread! This was one of the first nests I found back in 2006, after Hornby and the Maine Coast nest. I'm afraid it's not the first time they've had a major problem with snow - they lost two eggs and a newly hatched chick in 2007. There was a bad snowstorm about 10 days after the eggs, and then another one as the first egg was hatching. The other two eggs didn't hatch. Sad Sad

Adult returned briefly landed near 12 near the egg cup.
Paused for a moment or too then flew out.

Nest is still empty! Can hear movement outside the cam area; melting snow

Mom and Dad were both in the nest; more branches
were brought to the nest Smile. Both were restorating the nest!
