Feb 7 2010

1130 AM EST
There are three eggs; two in the egg cup which look like three on a blow up
of the scaps; then I think there is a third laying in front of the egg cup.

Mom returned and did an egg roll at the original egg cup then she moved to the
other new spot and she was moving some nesting material away from the new
egg cup! It nearly appears that she covered up the original egg cup but not sure
as she is incubating in the new location now.

Mom left again. The original egg cup looks covered up with snow.

Here are two scaps of the nest bowl for comparision!

Then nest after adult left; you can see the original egg cup area
is covered with snow.

Adult returns with a new branch.

Starts incubating where I think the new egg is :dunno:
They have me baffled this morning.....when you blow up the original egg
cup scap nearly looks like three in the original egg cup but yet in front of
that egg cup it looked like a new egg also.....:dunno:

It appears they have given up on the two eggs as Ma is incubating in the
new spot!

Soph wave Grin the adults are very smart so lets hope that the snow insulates those eggs; like an igloo effect Titter.

I am still alittle confused as if you see by the blow up there are definitely two eggs
and nearly looks like three there in the original cup but it could be the eggs are
damaged or it could be clump of snow that gives the appearance of a third.

There is definitely a third egg at least I think in the new location where Ma is incubating
she appeared to be doing an egg roll earlier. I am not sure how they could successfully
incubate in two spots but if the snow provides the warmth they need then once the snow
melts possibly they could roll them all together :dunno: this is very interesting Nodding yes.
