At 4:09 MDT Mom flew in

At 4:10 a second Osprey arrived. Mom had been watching something over head before he landed and did not make any kind of rejection to his arrival

He stayed on the nest rim for a short time. Moved up to the far edge. Flew off, then returned for a minute and left again

This is the only front image I was able to isolate from my recording He kept his back to the cam the entire time.

Comparison: Today's male does not have the "key hole" in his head marking (as noted by Judy several years ago)

Wow Bet, that is interesting. I wonder if that it why Mom exited the nest toward the trees behind the nest a little later.... I hope we get another look, - So glad that you caught that. I was watching three other O's nests at the time. The Loch of the Lowes pair are on three eggs as of the 10th.

Good morning.
I'm just catching up to the posts from yesterday and I am a bit mystified by that male that you captured BET. I suppose today we just wait and see what happens but I'm still hoping for Dad's return.. or was that Dad in disguise ? . fingers crossed

Oh, I did get a response from Enmax regarding the clock and was told that they will put in a request that it be changed.

6:45 a.m.
No osprey yet this morning but the City already has equipment on site.

I AM SOOOOO EXCITED TO SEE THEM BOTH THIS MORNING. WAHOOOOO !!!

I find it interesting that Mom isn't bothered by the activity in the area but Dad had the opposite reaction.
I hope this isn't going to have a huge affect on them nesting but what I am afraid of is that they might decide to try building in the tower to get away from the activity.

6:56 a.m
Mom flew off toward the river and the nest is now empty once again.

7:25 a.m.
The city loader has been back and forth with full loads of rock or cement chunks. Usually the osprey would be bringing in sticks to the nest the minute they return home so I firmly believe that the City work has disrupted everything. I wonder how long this will last ? Hours, Days, Month or more ?

7:46 a.m.
No one on the nest. I am out .... will check the cam later when I get a chance.

Yeah, hooray, Dad is home! I love seeing them. I love your tagline about B.C. Judy, perfect.
Thanks for all the observations, hopefully Dad will be OK with the construction, albeit not happy.

Nice to see you here Carolyn. I'm hoping for a nest here but getting a bit anxious that there has been no building activity. Not looking promising at the moment. I'd like to know where the birds are hanging out.

9:21 a.m.
No birds.
