BravoThanks Bet for the compilation and Janet I agree with Judy those are outstanding pics of Mom from across the river yet! What is your magnification?

Just great to see her and Mom seemed to enjoy just sitting there taking in the view and no doubt resting from her trip north. I was very late getting back here, - not much before 8 pm - and Mom hopped from the centre "log" at 8:02 to the back (zoo) edge and a little later moved to the NW corner. Her crop was full and after a ps Mom turned and around 8:30 pm off she flew. Good night

6:29 a.m.
Mom arrived to the nest bright and early this morning. She didn't stay for more than a couple of minutes before flying off to the right of the nest.

8:10 a.m.
She returned.

8:14 a.m.
She reacted to something to the right of the camera and then flew off . A second later she flew under the nest, heading toward the zoo area. I'd say from her actions that there may be another bird that she may have been following or chasing away but she was the only one in view.

At 8:18 a.m. Mom was back on the nest to perch. A bit later a crow passed by and she reacted. I hope crows and magpies don't become a big nuisance again this year.

Mom landed on the upper corner just before 9:00 am She stayed there for a bit, then moved to the Log and then onto the near edge of the box as she was watching something below. She moved along the edge until she got to the nearest corner and took off apparently after the unseen at 10:00 . She has not returned as yet at 11:30am MDT (I wish they would fix that cam clock- it is off both hourly and minutes)

A nice image of her spread wings just before leaving.

BET, I have sent a Tweet to Enmax asking to have the clock reset. We'll wait to see if they get our message and if they will oblige.

Thanks Judy. I guess we can't expect immediate action on the time stamp. Roll eyes I just looked in again at 4:34 pm real time and Mom was sitting on the centre pole but she flew off after ten minutes. I was distracted
but noted that Mom was in and out again so don't know what was going on but she left the nest and has not yet returned.

Does anyone think that it is strange that Mom is not yet working on her nest? Perhaps the work going on below is preventing her from gathering the sticks and other nesting material or is it normal for Mom to take a few days to begin nest building? I think Mom did come back very tired last year and let her mate do a lot of the work if I remember correctly.

5:11 pm Nest is empty (18:22 on the cam)
