Good Morning.
It's 6:53 a.m. and the camera is still down.
I am about to give up any hope of it streaming again.

Still a black screen
And Judy, I have that feeling that they won't fix it and shut down for the season too.

BET, I sent Enmax another Tweet and specifically asked if the camera will be back on. I'll let you know when I hear anything back.
I'd sure like to know if any of this family are still in the area.

10:23 a.m.
I have heard back from Enmax regarding the camera:
"From what we've heard from the zoo, there's a suspicion that the issue may be with the camera itself in which case we won't be able to upgrade equipment until we're confident the osprey have left.
We're continuing to work with the Calgary Zoo to see what can be done but it's looking unlikely at this point that the feed will go back up this season.
We appreciate all your support. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the rest of your summer."
I suppose we can check on it occasionally but it's probably safe to say it won't be up.
If anyone happens to visit the nest area please share picture or information here.
BET, Jean, Christine, Ernie, DKY, Janet and everyone else watching and posting this year, thanks for making this another fun year of watching and reporting on this family again.
Enmax and Calgary Zoo, thanks again for a wonderful osprey watching season and I look forward to next season.
Mom, Dad, SR, JR and MID, stay safe.

Still black
Judy, Thank you for the information. Not surprising that they don't expect it to come back on. Perhaps they will get a new camera and upgrade it. It is doubtful if they will ever have any manual manipulation of the camera, but better quality would be nice.

Thank you, Judy, for the information on the camera.
Fingers crossed that we have a better camera....and maybe one with sound!
Have a great winter everyone. I hope all the fires are put out quickly and we get some rain soon.
Good flights to our osprey too!

It's official. Now posted on the Login page
See you next year!
Once again, our feathered friends have left for their winter home. Thank you for your patience this year with the camera feed. We aim to install a new camera and resolve any issues before the birds return next year.
And so I too wish you all a great Fall, WInter, into Spring. Wishing the fires to be extringuished, a good rainy season - no floods, etc
Until next April 1 -
Bet

Oh my much too soon to say good-bye but possibly our ospreys have already done that. I've been at the lake as our weather has stayed so nice and summerlike (to a fault with the drought and fires).
Thank you everyone for keeping the forum going and I'm sorry we didn't get the cam back but all in all it turned out to be another successful year for this wonderful pair of ospreys. No matter the hardship they prevail year after year so all credit to them for their skill, dedication and perseverance and high hopes that Mom and Dad will return next spring refreshed from their winter break.
