7.13 pm Just looking in to find an empty nest. ... no surprise. I was wondering if the fires had abated Judy and am sorry to hear that they are worse. That is scarey and what irony. One side of our countries is burning up and the other drowning. Disasters everywhere.

Here's hoping that it will improve shortly and that you stay safe. And yes it is wonderful that Sr has finally caught on to the joy of being an osprey. Long may it continue for her and the others.

Jean, if it gets to the point of being evacuated you and I may meet sooner than later. I am almost certain we would head to Calgary to stay with our daughter.

The nest is empty. SR has really done a complete turn-around from previous evenings of waiting forever for a fish delivery. Maybe she is more prepared for migration than we gave her credit for.

Well for your sake Judy let's hope that the fire is turned away but it sure looks awfully close. Yes that would be great to finally meet. I wonder if Christine is around too, we haven't heard from her lately.

I will be off to the lake tomorrow so I hope you get to see some of the family on the nest tomorrow Judy and Bet. Keep safe and as cool as you can.

Good morning Calgary

5:20 to 6:40 a.m.
I've had the camera up for over an hour now and so far nobody has arrived.

7:35 am
Not even a magpie to be seen on this sunny morning. Maybe everyone left the area.

8:40 a.m.
Nothing to report with the exception of a few water fowl in the river.

***Praying for your rain to arrive Judy. We could use rain but you certainly need it. Don't take chances if the fires get too close.
