Senior lands on the nest. (Judy, I have no doubt that Senior is the oldest, the other two? They are so similar and as their feathers grew, they changed looks and I am not sure which is or was which except when we get a good clear view of the chest)

Right, when I get a good look at Sr there is no doubt who she is but the other two....the laughs on me.
I'm hoping the Osprey delay their migration so they don't arrive in the flooded areas too soon if that is where they are headed. The poor birds and other wildlife will be devastated I'm afraid as are the poor people.
Good luck with your new kitten tomorrow Bet. My dogs would not accept one and I'm wondering about the new dog next door as their cat seems to live on my deck now.

Senior spent the last 25 minutes standing on the fish, not taking one bite. Looking around - occasionally a mini wing flare and then she flew off with the fish.

Mom flew off right after Sr. did. I guess she had been waiting for left overs, which were not going to materialize

Thanks for the scaps Bet. Sr must be full? Maybe Judy is right in thinking the other two may have left our area. It seems too soon so I hope not.
I loved the close-ups of the nest, thanks Dky. Bet I guess that you now know who the photog in your scaps are. It would be nice to have a few pictures of the chicks when they were younger posted here if that were possible. We are really missing Janet and Michelle's photos this year.

Empty nest.
Jean and BET, thanks for your reports today. How very odd that JR and MID haven't been seen.
Do you think they would actually leave when both Mom and Dad are still here and such a reliable food supply ? Wherever they are I hope they are both okay.
Maybe they are being fed away from the nest. After all, SR seems to scoop every fish when they are delivered to the nest. I could well see the other two deciding it's not worth the effort rushing to the nest when SR will claim it before them anyways.

Hi Judy.
I hope they are okay too Judy. They possibly are getting fish down at the river from Dad and eating in the trees now. Bringing them into the nest gives Sr the opportunity to pounce. Clutz that Sr is that is one thing she does well!

Well this is just sad.
5:29 pm
Dad arrived with a fish. He's looking everywhere for a chick to arrive and no one came. He spent a minute looking every direction and finally gave up and flew off with the fish. Where are they ?
