Sr. kept her fish well up in the ne corner and though a weak attempt and then an approach were made by whom I thought was Middy at first but now think was Jr, Sr ate for just under an hour. She had waited a long time for that fish and had her fill. When she turned and looked about to fly off with it at 7.16 pm the LA made her move and has a nice portion to eat.

Sr. feaked her beak and moved towards the river and was still on the nest at 7.23 pm. It is cooling off nicely now.

I was hoping to see another fish delivery - has anyone seen Dad lately?

7.50 pm Sr is the only occupant of the nest now, remaining in her favorite se corner. Sorry I was busy elsewhere so did not see how the rest of our drama played out. Hopefully another fish came in for Middy.

8.00 pm It looks like Middy just flew into the sw corner of the nest and Sr has left the premises. She has that sunken chest look that says she is still looking for a meal.

8.16 pm Middy has wandered to the river rail. She then turns and walks back across the nest and flies off a minute later.

I checked a couple of times and found no one here so was very surprised to see the one you call Middy on the sw corner just after 9 pm. She/ he flew off over the river at 9.08 pm. This O has the sharp head markings but sitting upright the breast looks clear and I always thought this was Jr with Middy having the messy head markings.

I will try and get a computer that will work better for me than Windows 10 for next season. Any suggestions?

Good Morning Calgary

BET and Jean, thanks for the coverage yesterday.

Jean, I have always called the one with the clearest breast JR because I think of that one as a male. The LAs still confuse me if I don't see the breast area.

I didn't get much of a chance to be here yesterday but I did see Dad bring a fish to the nest Tuesday evening.

As for computers it would depend on whether you want Windows or a Mac ? Laptop or desktop ?
I am 100% an Apple person so my suggestion is to go to the Apple store at the Market Mall and play with the computers they have set up there to see if you would want to go that route. Unfortunately, they are expensive but the plus side is they work for many years without problems where most PC's don't.

JR seems to have spotted something down the river and decided to fly off. SR watches but stays where she is.

SR started chattering at someone and finally decided to leave. Maybe a parent with a fish out there somewhere ?
