6:45 am
SR was watching something toward the zoo area and decided to fly off while JR and Middy remained on the nest watching her.

6:46 am
Middy also decided to leave.
JR is sticking around so far.

6;47 am
JR left and the nest is empty once again.

7:08 am
The only bird for the past while has been a magpie stealing some nest material.

7:21 am
No one has been back and no sign of either parent yet today.

.... I have to sign out since my own crew is up already this morning. BB when I can.

9:42

Screen went black and as soon as I could get it back a chick had landed

Since the stream doesn't auto restart, I had to restart it and during that time Mom had landed and evidently with a fish since the chick appeared to be eating.

Suddenly the chick flew off

The chick checked Mom's feet - nothing there

Mom flew off Then here comes Dad with fish which the chick (Maybe Jr) quickly grabs

Dad flies off and Mom returns. She looked at the fish and the chick flared his wings at her and dragged his fish off to the rim.

The past hour has been a frozen cam on an empty nest and I will be gone for the next several hours. The cam will most likely freeze, but I will leave it running just in case

Thanks Judy and Bet. I saw Jr with his fish and he looked a bit frantic after it arrived. Mom flew in to stand guard, I think, and it took several minutes for him to dig into that lovely big fish. He was enjoying the fish at 10.16 am but by 10.25 am only Mom was left on the nest. She stayed on the nest awhile; I didn't see when she left.

11.07 am Middy landed on the river railing at 11.07 and stayed about five minutes. It's sunny Sunny
and 22C in Calgary with several warm days ahead so it was good to see the fish this morning. Hopefully Middy will get one too if she hasn't already.

11.43 am Returning from posting I find Mom in the sw corner and a youngster on the east side of the nest. She is facing away and mantling...yes I get a peek at a fish under her and I hope this is Middy as she flies off with her prize at 11.45 am. Fish Very Happy

11.52 am Now just Jr on the nest looking up at the cam and complaining. I hope he did not drop the large fish he hauled off the nest earlier. fingers crossed I wondered how he would manage with that on a tree branch. He flew off at 11.55 am.

I have not been able to watch without interruption today and will be out soon for the rest of the day. Looking in at 2.04 pm there was a juvie on the se corner calling for lunch and looking warm in the sunshine at 25 C. A photographer came by on the walkway to snag a few photos a minute later. I thought that the O might be Sr. but am not sure as I left with her calling again at 2.20 pm.

Back at 2.30 pm Mom is in the se corner with one on the river rail and another mantling a fishFish on the zoo side of the nest. This may be Jr. and the other Middy. (?) Mom flew out just before 2.02 pm to the tune of the unhappy fishless one.
